Canada: Iranians on Hunger Strike

On Sep. 1, 2013 the Iraqi special forces raided camp Ashraf, Killed 52 people and kidnapped 7 including 6 women. Hundreds of Camp liberty residents, have been on hunger strike ever since. In solidarity with the Liberty residents In Ottawa in front of the US embassy several Iranian-Canadians are on Hunger Strike to demand the release of 7 hostages and the UN blue helmet to be stationed at camp Liberty to protect the residents as promised by UN and US.

Hunger strike DAY 75 Ottawa

On the 75th day of hunger strike, one of the strikers was transferred to hospital today (Nov. 17, 2013) for the third time since the Hunger strike began. He suffers from very low blood pressure. Obama! break your silence and force Maliki to Free The 7 Hostages NOW!

Hunger Strike DAY 73! Ottawa

On the 73rd day of Hunger Strike (Nov. 15, 2013) Mr. David Matas Canada's human rights lawyer and the 2010 nominee for the Noble Peace prize visited the hunger strikers and said that we have to do everything in our power to save the 7 Ashraf hostages.

Hunger Strike DAY 71, Ottawa

Hunger Strike DAY 71. Today(Nov. 13, 2013) on a very cold and windy day in Ottawa, the strikers and their supporters once again chanted in front of the US embassy: "Fee 7 hostages NOW NOW NOW". The strikers even though are fatigue and endue difficulties associated with hunger strike, are in a very high spirit and determine to continue until the 7 hostages are freed.
